The cultivation of graduates is guided by green development and the "Two Mountains Theory", the fundamental principles of cultivating virtue and talent for the state, and the major environmental protection needs of national and Guangdong economic and social development. The Institute has built an innovative platform system of "basic research - technology research and development - application of achievements" to cultivate high-quality innovative talents with innovative and entrepreneurial abilities who can serve the economic and social development of Guangdong Province.
The Institute has around 630 graduates in various fields, including 60 doctoral candidates. In recent years, graduates have published more than 200 high-level and innovative papers annually and authorized more than 40 invention patents. Besides, over 50% of doctoral candidates have reached the first class.
