On the evening of May 27th, the 12th Student Representative Conference and the 17th Graduate Student Representative Conference of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering were successfully held in Classroom 5. Tan Jingkang, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, Zhang Jiangang, Secretary of the College Youth League Committee, Zhang Ke, Secretary General of the College Student Union, Wang Yongzhou, Secretary General of the College Graduate Union, Ni Yanna, member of the Presidium of the College Student Union, Li Huixue, member of the Presidium of the College Graduate Union, as well as 47 student representatives and 15 graduate student representatives attended this conference. The meeting is chaired by Teacher Zhang Ke.
The conference kicked off with the solemn national anthem. On behalf of the College Party Committee, Tan Jingkang, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, fully affirmed the achievements made by our Student Union and Graduate Union in various work, and put forward three requirements for the construction of our Student Union and Graduate Union: first, listen to the Party and follow the Party. Members of the student union and graduate student union must persist in arming their minds with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, be brave in taking on responsibilities, and maintain a spirit of struggle.The second is to practice skills and make achievements. Members of the student union and graduate student union should maintain a strong enthusiasm for learning, adhere to the unity of drawing on the strengths of others and learning from their strengths, and adhere to the unity of diligent learning, seeking truth, and devoting oneself to practical abilities; The third is to uphold the original intention and shoulder the mission. Members of the student union and graduate student union should "be young friends, not young officials", play the core role of grassroots student organizations, continuously promote the construction of service-oriented, leading, learning, and innovative student union and graduate student union organizations, and always remember the purpose of serving students wholeheartedly.

Subsequently, all representatives listened to the work reports of the 11th Committee of the Student Union of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering and the 16th Committee of the Graduate Union, reviewed and approved multiple documents, and elected members of the 12th Presidium of the Student Union and the 17th Presidium of the Graduate Union of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Guangdong University of Technology.
