Wuming Xie, Vice Dean, Professor, and Master's Supervisor of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, graduated from Central South University and South China University of Technology with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees respectively. He is also the Deputy Leader of the Waste Battery Chemical Treatment and Disposal Working Group (SAC/TC294/WG1) of the National Waste Chemical Disposal Standardization Technical Committee, a member of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, and an expert in evaluating scientific research funds and technology awards from the Ministry of Education, Guangdong Province Science and Technology Review Expert. Mainly engaged in teaching and research work on solid waste treatment and resource utilization, clean production and pollution control in key industries, and has successively led/undertaken more than 30 projects of the National Development and Reform Commission, Guangdong Province Frontier and Key Technology Innovation Special Fund (Major Science and Technology Special Fund), Guangdong Province Natural Science Foundation, Guangzhou City Industry University Research Collaborative Innovation Major Project and Social Service Project. In the Journal of Hazardous Materials Published over 40 research papers in journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production, Water Research, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Chemosphere. Served as a reviewer for journals such as Journal of Hazardous Materials and Journal of Cleaner Production.
Assist the dean in managing undergraduate education and continuing education work. Responsible for the construction of undergraduate professional disciplines (including training programs, education and teaching reforms), teaching plans and courses, daily teaching management, and other affairs.
