On the afternoon of November 23rd, the 4th Employment and Entrepreneurship Culture Festival held a simulated job search competition titled "Drawing a Blueprint for the Workplace, Embarking on My Job Seeking Path" in Room 208 of Building 3 of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering. 2004 alumni and General Manager of Guangdong Green Sun Industrial Group, Zhu Zhongxia, Teacher Rong Mingjie from the School Employment Guidance Center, College Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Teacher Zhang Jiangang, and Counselor Zhang Ke attended this event.
After screening resumes, a total of 8 students stood out and participated in the college's semi-finals. The simulated job positions they participated in included EHS, project manager, water treatment engineer, entrepreneurial assistant, etc. The contestants remained calm and generous, showcasing their highlights and advantages, and calmly responded to the sharp questions from the judges and teachers, leaving a deep impression on both the judges and the on-site audience.
In the summary section of the judges, our alumni and General Manager of Guangdong Green Sun Industrial Group, Zhu Zhongxia, combined her own practice and put forward three suggestions for college student interviews: first, the resume, self introduction, and summary should match the position she applied for during the interview; Secondly, leverage the power of language, make reasonable use of data, and introduce oneself logically and clearly through fast, accurate, and ruthless self introduction; Thirdly, during the interview, nonverbal power should also be utilized, with appropriate appearance, natural body posture, eye contact, and smile, and clear voice.
This simulated job search competition helps students better understand the dynamics of the job market, understand the employment requirements of enterprises, enhance their job search abilities, and increase their knowledge reserves in the workplace. The college will continue to provide guidance on employment and entrepreneurship, provide students with a richer practical training platform, and help them establish correct employment and career concepts.
