In order to better play the leading and demonstrative role of excellent class collectives, promote the construction of a good academic atmosphere in our college, and present a proud gesture to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on November 13, our college held the Guangshen Environmental Protection Excellent Class Collective Scholarship Selection Activity with the theme of "Learning Party History for a Century and Building an Excellent Class Atmosphere" at Building 208 of Gongxue 3. The guests attending the event included Ning Xunan, the president of the college, Yang Weiping, the secretary of the party committee, Xie Wuming, the vice president, and Tan Jingkang, the deputy secretary, as well as Yang Taohua, the deputy general manager and CFO of Guangdong Guangshen Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., a representative of the alumni company.
During the speech, Dean Ning Xunan warmly welcomed and expressed sincere gratitude to alumni for returning to their alma mater and supporting the construction of the college. He hoped that each class could learn a hundred years of Party history together, build a good academic atmosphere, and contribute to the construction of a high-level university in the school. Alumni Wen Shanglong from the 2003 cohort passionately mentioned that his own development cannot be achieved without the training and support of the college. He emphasized that a united and hardworking collective is equally important for enterprise management and school learning, and hopes that students can contribute to the construction of excellent class collectives.
Subsequently, each participating class showcased their excellent academic style, showcasing the charm of the campus. Class 20 (1) in Safety Engineering achieved a good grade of zero failure in the freshman year with the aim of one-on-one assistance, promoting learning methods, and pursuing common progress; Class 19 (1) of Environmental Engineering, which has won multiple school level titles such as Top 100 Youth League Branch and Top 10 Class Collective, introduced its unique "cloud based self-study room" group assistance learning group; Security Engineering Class 18 (1) shares learning notes and experiences on the online platform Knowledge Planet, unites and helps each other, and pursues practical innovation; Class 19 (1) of Environmental and Ecological Engineering believes that "youth must be done early, how can one grow into a teenager", and forms a study group to actively participate in extracurricular practical activities; The Environmental Science and Engineering Class 20 (5) adheres to the teaching of the class mentor of "seven parts learning, three parts entertainment". Nearly half of the students join the research team and adhere to the excellent learning style of the "three nots" classroom with self-discipline; Class 18 (2) of Environmental Engineering firmly adheres to ideals and beliefs through learning, thinking, and practicing, and strives to fulfill its original mission. As a graduating class, it actively takes the civil service entrance examination and postgraduate entrance examination, and has established an employment situation follow-up group.
At the end of the presentation and defense, Tan Jingkang commented on the measures and achievements of each class, affirmed the unique practices and leading role of each participating class in the construction of class atmosphere, and hoped that each class would continue to work hard in subsequent learning and explore aspects such as class atmosphere, academic style, and dormitory culture.
The excellent class collective evaluation activity showcases the brilliance of each class and creates opportunities for learning and exchange among class committees.
