On November 13, 2021, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the school, Wen Shanglong, an outstanding graduate of the Environmental Engineering major of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering in 2003 and the deputy general manager of Guangdong Guangshen Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., returned to his alma mater and held a "Environment and Life" themed sharing meeting with his classmates in Room 208 of Building 3 of the School of Engineering. Guests present included Yang Taohua, the CFO of the company, and Tan Jingkang, the Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee. More than 200 students from the college participated in this event.

At the sharing meeting, Wen Shanglong expressed appreciation for the achievements of the college in disciplinary development, scientific research, and talent cultivation in recent years. He shared his work and entrepreneurial experiences with his classmates, and by summarizing his career journey, he encouraged them to set great goals, cultivate moral character, become talented, and take on great responsibilities. He also suggested that students continue to pursue further education and become pillars of the environmental protection field. Wen Shanglong believes that an excellent collective is composed of excellent members. He combines the establishment and development of the company to encourage each class to strengthen the construction of the class collective, and every student should contribute to a better class collective. Finally, Wen Shanglong once again thanks his alma mater and teachers for their continuous support and assistance. He stated that he will continue to care about the development of the college and support its work.

This theme sharing session not only helps students avoid detours and mistakes in career planning, but also provides a platform for students to deeply understand society and lay a good foundation for them to smoothly enter the workplace.
