In order to further inherit the red spirit and continue the red blood, we should strengthen communication with local alumni associationsatthesametime.15-16 December 2023,Tan Jingkang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, led all party members of the office party branch to Shanwei to carry out party building and visiting alumni enterprises. Yang Weiping, member of the School Discipline Inspection Commission and Alumni Commissioner of the External Liaison Office, participated in this event. Zou Haisheng, President of the Shanwei Alumni Association, Chen Junhuai, Secretary General, Peng Danye, alumni representatives, Liu Xuhui, Huang Limao, and others attended the branch party building activity.
The Honggong Red Square and the former residence of Peng Pai in Shanwei are witness places for the heroic struggle of revolutionary martyrs. During the visit, party members and comrades carefully studied Comrade Peng Pai's glorious revolutionary process, gained a clear understanding of the historical facts of the party's struggle during this period, and were inspired by the deeds of Peng Pai's family who shed their blood for the Chinese revolution. Through visiting and learning, all party members received a profound education on revolutionary traditions and patriotism, revisited the glorious history of the party, remembered revolutionary martyrs, felt the revolutionary spirit and accepted revolutionary traditions, further enhancing the sense of honor, responsibility, and mission of party members.
Subsequently, members of the Party branch and the Party branch of the Environmental Engineering Department visited and studied at the Shanwei Alumni Association, and conducted on-site visits to Shanwei Planning and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd., Guangdong Fangyuan Construction Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Delong Yuxin Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. They carefully listened to the introductions of several technical backbone members of the company. School and enterprise personnel exchanged ideas on the construction of academic disciplines, professional planning, corporate values, current development status, and future plans of the school, and signed an agreement on off campus internship bases. Vice Secretary Tan Jingkang and Chairman of the Shanwei Alumni Association, Zou Haisheng, expressed the hope that in the future, both schools and enterprises can further deepen communication, strengthen cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win, and achieve coordinated development.
Through this experiential learning visit to the Hongchang Red Palace and Pengpai Former Residence in Shanwei, party members of the branch further revisited the turbulent times and reviewed the glorious history. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Tan Jingkang requested all Party members to further strengthen their ideals and beliefs, enhance their sense of responsibility, inherit and carry forward the glorious tradition and excellent work style of the Party, and draw red energy from the Party history learning and education. The Party branch of the college office should continue to strengthen, add vitality, and gather strength for the high-quality development of the college.
