On November 23, the 2023 Teaching Seminar on High-quality Construction and Development of Environmental Science Specialty sponsored by the Department of Environmental Sciences of our college was solemnly held in Hall 3 of Engineering, University Town Campus, Guangdong University of Technology.The conference invited Professor Liu Jingling, Vice President of the Institute of Advanced Natural Sciences of Beijing Normal University, and Professor Lv Huixiong, College of Resources and Environment of South China Agricultural University to visit and guide. Dean An Taicheng, Vice President Xie Wuming, Vice President Yu Yingxin, Vice President Ji Yue Meng and other leaders attended the seminar, all teachers of the Department of Environmental Science and Environmental Science Innovation class student representatives, some teachers’ representatives of the Department of Environmental engineering and Safety Engineering attended the seminar.President An Taicheng, Vice President Xie Wuming, Vice President Yu Yingxin, Vice President Ji Yuemeng and other leaders attended the seminar, and all the teachers of the Department of Environmental Sciences, the student representatives of the Innovation Class of Environmental Sciences, and some teachers of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Safety Engineering attended the seminar. Professor An Taicheng, Dean of the College, delivered a welcome speech. He first expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the experts and all the teachers present. At the same time, he introduced the rapid development of the College in recent years from the aspects of talent team, scientific research achievements and exchanges and cooperation, and affirmed the preliminary work of the Department of Environmental Sciences.
shares her understanding of being a good teacher with her own experience and achievements, and imparts valuable experience in teaching the course of "Introduction to Environmental Science" from the aspects of teaching methods, curriculum and student training, which inspires us to think. Professor Lu Huixiong, centering on "National First-class Course Declaration and Undergraduate Teaching", takes "Low Carbon Life and Green Civilization", which has just won the National First-class Online Course, as an example, humorously shares the problems and difficulties encountered in teaching work, which makes people deeply realize that the teaching results lie in the accumulation of concentration, and also in the teaching of "Low Carbon Life and Green Civilization". It is a long-term and lasting project to build a deep, difficult and challenging golden course. The participating teachers were deeply inspired and encouraged, and had more experience and confidence in how to teach a good course and the construction and development of environmental science specialty, and interacted with the lecturers on the puzzles they encountered in their teaching and scientific research work.
