The seminar was moderated by Yu Ying-xin, vice president of the department. Experts attending the seminar included well-known experts and scholars in the fields of environment and safety from South China University of Technology, Xi'an University of Science and Technology and Guangzhou Energy Institute. The leading group of the college party and government, leaders of related disciplines and teachers' representatives attended the exchange meeting.

Professor Yuan Peng, Head of the Department of Safety Engineering, introduced in detail the development of the specialty and the necessity of applying for the master's degree in safety engineering science, at the same time, by focusing on the safety and emergency issues in the development of the guangdong-hong Kong-macao Bay Area Megalopolis, the integrated r & D of Industry, university, research and application should be carried out, it forms the vision of three dominant disciplines: urban public safety and emergency technology, industrial process safety and risk prevention and control, and environmental safety and Poison Prevention and control technology. Professor Liu AIHUA, Dean of the Department of Safety Engineering, also introduced the ideas of revising the training plan of safety engineering major 2024 edition. Experts from different angles to demonstrate the original views, and safety engineering professional development and construction, master's application and training program put forward valuable ideas. The college will fully absorb the opinions and suggestions of experts, draw on the successful experience and advanced practices of its sister units, and further promote the training of safety engineering professionals and the development of discipline construction, better adapt to the Greater Bay area social and economic development and other national strategic needs.
